The DIGNITARIES and PILOTS are hurled to the ground as the starship is destroyed. I hadn't seen it in a long time, so who am I to judge? Turns out, I was right. Still, the Tusken scene gets at an awkward truth about Star War s: Its easy to justify killing swaths of faceless stormtroopers, identical clones, or nameless battle droids. But maybe it's not as bad as everyone says it is or as bad as I remember it. The second film in the prequal trilogy, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones was released in 2002, 3 years after The Phantom Menance Episode I - The Phantom Menance. ![]()
